I will never forget the dream I had on the 31st day of a water fast. I was flying in the dream over the state of California, roaring the victory of the cross over Jezebel. I knew that somehow in the fast, I had “Slipped the surly bonds of earth and danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings. I knew “The high untresspassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of God.”
“Largely through the grace of fasting, I have come to deeply know the liberating flight of freedom, from the common and profane, to the call of the wild. Fasting has given me wings.”
‘The Jesus Fast’
As I have been treading around my Jerichos, putting my feet on the earth and claiming ground for God, I’ve also found myself flying into the sunlit skies of God’s 2020 vision. I want to give wings to the saints of the earth. Over these next days, I will share the vision of calling the global church to the 40 day Jesus Fast during Lent. February 26th-April 8th, Passover. Could the whole earth be crying all at the same time, “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord and pass over us with your blood?” Could the Church of the Firstborn, The Ruler of the Kings of the Earth, sweep the skies through united fasting, that the earth would behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world and reach out and touch the face of God.

My 40 day fast was like Israel’s 40 year sojourn in the wilderness, and my 40 day tread was like Joshua who was told by the Lord, “Every place that the sole of your foot treads, I am giving to you.”
