Hello, Welcome everyone to the first day of the Yeshua fast. A fast that I believe will help shape history. I wrote this and I wrote it so many times, but it kind of expresses the DNA of my own life and my own journey. It is this: “There are moments in history when a door for massive change opens. Great revolutions for good or for evil occur in the vacuum created by these openings. It is in these times that key men and women, even entire generations risk everything to become the hinge of history. That pivotal point that determines which way the door will swing. In the scriptures some of these key men and women were Nazirites.”
I had a dream once in which a man was throwing his book to me. It flew toward me and I caught it and it said, the title was “Seizing Your Divine Moment.” You see, you can be faithful all your life, and yet, when it comes to a divine moment that you must seize and if you don’t seize that moment you actually miss making history with God.
Fasting in the bible have been those key swing moments that shifted history. Moses fasted 40 days and received the law and everything changed in Israel’s history. Elijah fasted 40 days and released an anointing that broke the power of Jezebel and the regimes promoting death of babies, promoting state-sanctioned sexual immorality. It was an Elijah revolution and it was a 40 day fast that birthed it.
And Jesus fasted forty days and launched the great awakening for the first Jewish peoples of his time. It began with the Jews and it’s going to end with the Jewish peoples. A forty-day fast like Jesus for the salvation of the Jewish peoples that will actually affect the salvation of the whole world. Brothers and sisters lets begin this forty-day journey together. Say, “Lord I don’t even fully understand what Lou is talking about but I was an awakening in the scriptures that changes my whole mind, my concept. Change my lenses so I can see what you’re doing in history right now. So I can throw myself in it.”
A man once said this, “If you want to do the best for your life find out what God is doing in your generation and throw yourself into it”. I want to encourage you throw yourself into this fast and say “Lord I want to be caught up into Your great end-time story. I don’t want to just have my story. I want to move with yours.”
So we’re calling this 40 day fast and I want to encourage you follow us at Lou Engle Ministries for 40 days of video devos and watch how God will open your eyes and give you vision and revelation of how you can actually enter into His divine purposes. Secondly, through this 40 days, help launch a virtual house of prayer. The Israel Virtual House of Prayer where literally prayer meetings live will begin to be going 24 hours a day, maybe even to the return of Christ, so that we are praying and focusing our hearts and intercessions on the apple of Jesus’ eye, the people of Israel, the state of Israel, and its effect for global harvest.
