Hello brothers and sisters, we really get to the meat of the fast beginning right now. I can look back, it all started in 2007. I was in Jerusalem with my prophetic friend who dreams for me all the time, really for 36 years now, and he had a dream while in Jerusalem and in this dream we received a phone call from four Ruths.
Ruth Prince. Derek Prince was a man that wrote profusely on the history and the end-time purposes of Israel. He called for fasting and prayer, which we’re doing now, and I believe Ruth stood and represented the Bride of Christ, the gentile bride, like Ruth in the Bible, and she’s representing this end-time purpose of Israel and a revelation that’s being given now to the gentile bride worldwide.
Secondly, the other Ruth was Ruth Graham, Billy Graham’s wife. And I believe she represents the global outpouring of evangelism connected with the movements of God with natural Israel. In 1948 Israel became a nation and Billy Graham, the great evangelist, was instrumental in shaping the evangelical church’s mindset in terms of favoring Israel becoming a nation. And, as well in 1948, he started his Los Angeles evangelistic crusade and it began a really worldwide movement of evangelism. You see, evangelism and the outpourings of the Spirit on the Gentiles is connected with what God is doing in natural Israel. I believe she represented, Ruth Graham is representative to us right now of the movements of God in natural Israel right now and a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the gentile church globally and a massive harvest like took place in Ruth’s life in the Bible.
The third Ruth who was giving us a call was Ruth Heflin. Ruth Heflin was a worship leader, a minister to Jesus, and she lived 26 years in Israel worshipping God. She wrote a book called Glory. I believe she represents the glory is coming back. There’s coming back the tabernacle of David where the presence of God and worship is going to fill Israel in Jerusalem and we’re going to see the return of the glory of God.
And the fourth Ruth was Ruth of Ruth and Boaz. Let me comment on Ruth and Boaz. In Ruth chapter one we see the story and it’s a love story. It’s romance to the max and it’s harvest to the max. And a woman named Naomi, a Jewish lady, there was a famine in the land of Israel and so she leaves with her husband Elimelech and her two sons and they go to Moab so that they can find food. And Elimelech, her husband, dies there in Moab and then her two sons get married to two Moabite ladies named Orpah and Ruth. And both of her sons die and her whole life is filled with death and bitterness and pain.
And then she hears there’s bread back in Israel. The famine is broken and there’s bread in Bethlehem, and her heart is stirred to go back to her homeland and return. And her two daughters-in-law join her and they’re coming and they’re returning with her because they love her. But she begs them, “Turn around. You don’t have any husbands in Israel. Go get remarried. Get children again.” But they just keep following her and she begs them to return and finally Orpah, she weeps on the shoulders of Naomi, and then she says, “I’m going back.”
But Ruth says a statement that I believe this fast, and we’re going to pray it for forty days, is going to be a historic statement and we’re going to believe for a global release over the four Ruths, the global Ruth bride, the gentile church worldwide. We’re going to believe that the vow of Ruth is going to be released in this 40-day fast. I am so excited!
This is the vow… Naomi says in verse 12, “Turn back, my daughters, turn back… if I should say I have hope… if I should say I have a husband tonight and should also bear sons, would you wait for them till they were grown? …No, my daughters; for it grieves me very much for your sakes that the hand of the Lord has gone out against me!” Then they lifted up their voices and wept again; and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth clung to her.
The word Ruth means friendship. It means friend. And The word “clung” there is actually the word for “friend.” The story of Ruth is the friend of the Jewish peoples. It is the one that clings to the Jewish peoples when the whole world hates them, because Jesus said the whole of history is ending up in Jerusalem, in Israel, and in the Jewish people, and when the salvation of the Jews come it will be like life from the dead to the whole world. Ruth the friend clings to her.
And then Ruth says to her, “Entreat me not to leave you,
Or turn back from following after you;
For wherever you go, I will go;
And wherever you lodge, I will lodge;
Your people shall be my people,
And your God, shall be my God.
Where you die, I will die,
And there will I be buried.
The Lord do so to me and more also if anything but death parts you and me.”
Sometimes we read this statement from Ruth and we think,
“That’s a cool statement.” No, that is a covenant she just made. It is so radical it shifts her whole life. She is saying, “All of my affections are turning to the Jewish peoples. All of my prayers are turning to the Jewish peoples. My hope for harvest and for a future is all about the Jewish peoples.” It is such a radical statement.
I believe it is going to release something worldwide in this fast that is going to resist and restrain this rising tide of antisemitism and it will shift this thought and this ideology from the scriptures of Replacement Theology where no longer is God’s biblical vision and picture about Israel and the Jews, it’s now just the church, and the gentile church, and Jews and Gentiles who believe in Jesus.
Brothers and sisters, I believe in this fast a massive shift is going to take place from Replacement Theology and I want you to believe with me and I want you to follow me on this journey. So even now we begin to pray, “Lord on this forty-day fast release Ruths vows all over the globe. Release this vow, ‘Your people will be my people. Your God will be my God.’ Even now, open the eyes of the global gentile Ruth church where she begins to have her eyes opened to the apple of Your eye and what you’re doing in this great move of end-time history. Lord, release Ruth’s vow, in Jesus’ name.”
