Yesterday I shared on the pray Ekballo story once again. To me, I really believe God is going to unleash His heart for the lost, give us great compassion. And we’ll be groaning this prayer, “Lord of the harvest, God, we beg you to hurl forth laborers,” and then we’ll be praying, “Here I am, send me.” But I’m gripped again with this very passage Matthew Chap 10, “And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon,” and then goes through all the apostles. And then He says, “These 12, Jesus sent out and commanded them saying, ‘Do not go into the way of the gentiles, and do not enter the cities of the Samaritans. Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.’ ”
I was struck by this. This was the first call of Jesus when he said, “Pray the Lord of the Harvest…” He said “don’t go to the gentiles, go to the lost sheep of the House of Israel.” From that time forward, the book of Acts, where Paul was sent to the gentiles. From that point on, the gospel has been going to the gentiles and a veil has been covering the eyes of the lost sheep of the house of Israel. But we believe right now… Can you imagine Jesus’ heart right now, even as we are preaching and praying this? “God, once again they are crying out the primordial call, the great cry of my own heart.” The apostle Paul says, “I am in unceasing anguish for the salvation of my own people.” What do you think it means to Jesus when once again a worldwide 40 day fast is being released to hurl forth the gospel to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. This is stunning to me. It’s interesting in this very passage, at the same time, He calls His disciples, and then he gives them the mandate to go and preach the gospel and then he says, “… and these twelve apostles,” named so and so and so and so. It struck me, it was disciples, and then it was apostles. Could it be that part of Jesus heart, when He’s praying for the laborers to go into the harvest field, he is actually wanting us to cry out to God to hurl forth apostles?
Today I want to pray that Jewish apostles will be raised up with such signs and wonders, like the original twelve, with miracles signs and wonders. And that all of Israel would be shaken by Apostles, nothing less than the original ones. [That there would be] Apostles all over the globe, would you pray this with me? Because I think in many ways that is really what he is looking for. ‘First of all, apostles.’ God wants apostles again. So Father, in the name of Jesus we come and we hear your cry. The original cry when you said, ‘do not go to the gentiles, but go to the lost house of Israel. We thank you that you are sending forth, hurling forth laborers to the unreached, into the inner cities, to America, and you are sending them now in powerful way to the very Jewish people that you first went to. We beg you hurl forth laborers into the Jewish community worldwide. In Europe, in every place, come Lord God, in Jerusalem, in Tel Aviv. Come Holy Spirit and hurl forth laborers into the harvest field and we cry specifically, hurl forth apostles. Release apostles with such signs and wonders that nothing can stop them. Release the new breed of Jewish apostles in the name of Jesus, amen.
